BibleDevos (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a Bible reading and note-taking application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those services.
• User content: Notes, Bible references, and other content you create within the app.
• Safety and moderation data: Reports, block lists, and moderation records associated with enforcing our community safety policies.
• Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as your reading position in the Bible reader, stored locally on your device.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the BibleDevos service
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To sync your notes and content across your devices
• To communicate with you about your account if necessary
• To review reports and enforce community safety standards

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, including Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Cognito. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Bible text is loaded locally on your device from bundled database files and is never transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud infrastructure for data storage and authentication
• Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method. See Google's Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign In: Optional authentication method. See Apple's Privacy Policy

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. Your notes may be visible to other users only if you explicitly mark them as public.

Safety and Moderation

BibleDevos supports in-app reporting and user blocking features. Report submissions and moderation outcomes are processed to protect users and enforce our Terms of Service. We may hide or remove content that violates our policies.

Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile page. This permanently removes all your notes, references, and account information.
• Portability: Your notes and content are accessible through the app at any time.

Children's Privacy

BibleDevos does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
